Happy Thanksgiving

This year I am cooking Thanksgiving dinner for the first time. To say I am excited is an understatement, but I am also worried I am going to mess it up.  My menu: Turkey, mash potatoes, carrots, peas, corn, green bean casserole, lasagna, cornbread, and homemade gravy.

When cooking, I like to keep things simple and just add little touches to make them my own. I have taken simple roasted carrots recipes and added my twist to it.

4 cups of cut up carrots

Olive oil to coat the carrots

1 tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder

½ tsp vanilla

2 tsp of honey

2 tbsp brown sugar

Combine everything into a bowl and mix to coat.  Set your oven to 350 degrees.

Cook for an hour and a half, turn carrots half way through.

I hope you have a great Thanksgiving.
