Scalp Care

The cold weather is here! This time every year my scalp becomes dry and flaky.  Scalp care is quickly becoming more popular and with that, more and more products are coming on the market. I have learned a few things over the past year about my scalp. It is very dry and sensitive like the rest of my skin.  Which means harsh products just burn and make things worse. I have found 4 products that seem to work on soothing my scalp.

The Briogeo Scalp revival stimulating therapy massager is amazing. I like to shampoo my hair and scalp then take this and just make small circles over my scalp. It just helps stimulate the scalp without causing harm, like when your fingernails create little cuts in your scalp. Plus, this feels like getting a mini scalp massage.

Drunk Elephant TLC Happi Scalp Scrub is becoming another favorite product. I picked this up at the Sephora sale. To use this product you squeeze it onto your scalp and massage it in.  It has acids and little scrubbers. Leave it on for about 10 minutes and wash it out like normal.  It helps clear all the dead skin and product buildup. I like to use this about once a week, I rotate this with the Moroccan oil treatment.

The next product is from Briogeo. It is the scalp revival charcoal + tea tree scalp treatment.  This is a product you put in after your shower and your hair is still damp.  Again, you do not need a lot of this product; it helps restore balance and hydration on your scalp. I use this about twice a week when I wash my hair.

The last product is my favorite and if you only wanted one product I would pick this one up. It is the Moroccan Oil Dry Scalp Treatment. To use, you put on your scalp and dry hair, massage it in and leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes. Honestly, I have left it on for about 8 hours and it was fine.  Then you wash your hair like normal. The goal of this product is to help hydrate your scalp. I like to use it on my scalp and put another oil on my hair to hydrate that.
