Ginger & Lemon Tea Tonic

  • 1 large piece of ginger
  •  4 cups of water
  • 3 small lemons

Cut the ginger into pieces, put the ginger and water in a pot and bring to boil.  Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.  

Juice the lemons and put in a glass container. 

Strain the ginger water and mix the lemon juice.  Let cool  before putting in the refrigerator.  

You can add tumeric to the tonic, just like you would with the ginger. 

To drink you put 2 -3 oz of the tonic in a mug add 6 oz of hot or cold water. Add honey to taste. 

The health benefits of ginger are it helps prevent colds and sickness. Helps with healthy cholesterol levels, and with nausea. 

The health benefits of lemon are, it boosts the immune system and supports heart health. 

If you add turmeric the benefits are anti- inflammation, improves digestion, and reduces bad cholesterol.  

I drink it warm in the morning like tea, it helps wake me up.
