Tips for wellness

Here are a few things I am working on this year.  Wellness can mean different things to different people.  I want to work on becoming healthier in multiple ways.  Over the next year, I plan on making some changes in my life.  

I want to drink more water, right now my goal is to drink a liter of water a day.  I know that might not sound like much, but before there were multiple days I wouldn’t drink any water at all.  After a few weeks, I plan on increasing and then increasing it more. I don’t want to be overwhelmed by trying to drink so much water at once.  By slowly increasing a little at a time I am finding success. 

My husband and I are looking into apple fitness, I like the fact that we can have options for different workouts. I want to start exercising more, even if it’s just a 30-minute walk.  I have learned that I need to schedule it into my day if I plan on working out.  

We plan on eating more locally and knowing where our food is coming from.  We found a local butcher that we want to start buying meat from. I am also planning our garden.  I am currently looking into different bed options and different things to grow.  We are also working on planning our meals out ahead of time.  

Making changes is hard, but doing it with someone makes it easier.  You can talk about the struggles and what is working and not working.  Also, it helps to have someone hold you accountable. 

Taking more me time is something I think everyone needs to do more of.  For my husband I want him to take time and watch football.  He often doesn’t have a lot of free time but I want him to be able to enjoy his downtime.  For me, I bought a facial tool that I want to take the time to use a few times a week. 

I am also looking into multi-vitamins and other things to help with wellness.  These are just a few things I am working on right now. I am also reading more books to help personal development and household.
